Standing behind a U.S. Department of Homeland Security dais, local and national officials introduced the big, white airship and fielded questions about its upcoming use.<\/p>\n<p>Noting how border fencing ends near Pe\u00f1itas, Rosendo Hinojosa, chief patrol agent of the Border Patrol\u2019s Rio Grande Valley Sector, said that the aerostat will provide Valley authorities with means previously unavailable to them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is good technology,\u201d he said of the camera-bearing aircraft, which will roam 1,000 feet above the ground. \u201cIt\u2019s proven technology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"  PE\u00d1ITAS \u2014 It\u2019s a bird, it\u2019s a plane, it\u2019s \u2026 no, it\u2019s a Border Patrol blimp.
