Pre-clinical studies often treat animals early, before symptoms can be detected, says <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sickkids.ca\/AboutSickKids\/Directory\/People\/C\/Dr-Ronald-Cohn.html\">Ronald Cohn<\/a>, senior scientist, president and chief executive officer of The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Our results now show that the therapeutic window may indeed be wider,\u2019 Cohn tells <em>Chemistry World<\/em>. This is significant as all patients \u2018are currently diagnosed at a time when symptoms are already presenting\u2019, he adds.
