One significant recent announcement was gene editing tool CRISPR\u2019s application to non-genetic diseases thanks to a new ability to <a href=\"https:\/\/singularityhub.com\/2019\/07\/24\/editing-rna-expands-crisprs-use-far-beyond-genetic-diseases\/\">edit single letters in RNA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Even as CRISPR reaches milestones like this, scientists continue to find new uses for it to treat genetic conditions.
