Other researchers showed that several newly identified genes seem related to the disease risk by sex.<\/p>\n<p>Two-thirds of Alzheimer\u2019s cases in the U.S. are in women and \u201cit\u2019s not just because we live longer,\u201d said Maria Carrillo, the association\u2019s chief science officer.
