The spacecraft is designed to have two fully reusable stages: a 19-story booster and a 16-story spaceship, which would fly on top of the booster and into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com.au\/earth-moon-distance-edge-of-outer-space-2018-5\"> into space<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SpaceX employees are now building <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com.au\/elon-musk-instragram-spacex-mars-ship-2018-4\"> a prototype<\/a> of the Big Falcon Spaceship at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com.au\/spacex-big-falcon-rocket-bfr-facility-los-angeles-photos-2018-3\">Port of Los Angeles<\/a>.
