These <a href=\"http:\/\/squeezableglass.com\/default.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Squeezable Glass bottles<\/a> claim to offer the best of both worlds\u2014but have a bit of a misleading claim to fame.<\/p>\n<p>The bottles aren\u2019t actually made from some indestructible self-repairing glass material discovered in a secret lab a decade ago; they\u2019re plastic, which is why they can be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daddoes.com\/10856\/squeezable-glass-bottle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">squeezed without shattering<\/a>. However, the insides of the bottles are coated with an incredibly thin layer of silicon dioxide\u2014which is what glass is made from\u2014that\u2019s just 20 nanometers thick.
