A few months later, scientists used modelling to produce an answer \u2014 hypothesising a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencealert.com\/we-just-got-a-lead-in-the-mysterious-case-of-a-massive-earth-shaking-seismic-wave\">giant underwater volcanic eruption<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And now it seems that is pretty likely to be the case.
