{"id":90979,"date":"2019-05-20T09:02:22","date_gmt":"2019-05-20T16:02:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifeboat.com\/blog\/2019\/05\/success-at-the-xprize-foundation"},"modified":"2019-05-20T09:02:22","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T16:02:22","slug":"success-at-the-xprize-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifeboat.com\/blog\/2019\/05\/success-at-the-xprize-foundation","title":{"rendered":"Success at the XPRIZE Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"aligncenter blog-photo\" href=\"https:\/\/lifeboat.com\/blog.images\/success-at-the-xprize-foundation.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On April 29th and 30th, the XPRIZE Foundation hosted an event at its headquarters in Culver City, California that could have a profound effect on the evolving landscape of biorejuvenation research: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/the-future-of-longevity-impact-roadmap-lab-tickets-58326560312?utm_source=eb_email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=reminder_attendees_48hour_email&utm_term=eventname&ref=eemaileventremind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Future of Longevity Impact Roadmap Lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For those unfamiliar, the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/X_Prize_Foundation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">XPRIZE Foundation<\/a> is famous for designing multi-million-dollar, global competitions to incentivize the development of technological breakthroughs, perhaps the most well-known being its first: the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ansari_X_Prize\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ansari XPRIZE<\/a>, which offered a $10,000,000 award for the first non-governmental organization to launch a reusable manned spacecraft into space twice within two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>With this event, the purpose of which was to gather subject matter experts to brainstorm a potential longevity-research prize, XPRIZE has turned its focus towards solving the critical problem of age-related diseases on society and extending healthy human lifespan for all.
