Researchers at the University of Washington have built what they say are the \u201cthinnest-possible LEDs\u201d \u2014 tiny lights that measure just three atoms thick. \u201cSuch thin and foldable LEDs are critical for future portable and integrated electronic devices,\u201d Xiaodong Xu, co-author of a paper on the research that was <a href=\"https:\/\/go.redirectingat.com?id=66960X1514734&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nature.com%2Fnnano%2Fjournal%2Fvaop%2Fncurrent%2Ffull%2Fnnano.2014.26.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">published over the weekend in <i>Nature Nanotechnology<\/i><\/a>, says in a statement.
