While <a href=\"https:\/\/3dprint.com\/201774\/3d-printed-dress-iris-van-herpen\/\">3D printed fashion<\/a> was still considered to be more of a <a href=\"https:\/\/3dprint.com\/32775\/3d-printed-attack-dress\/\">novelty<\/a> a few years ago, efforts have been <a href=\"https:\/\/3dprint.com\/236604\/st-catherine-university-researching-designers-work-to-3d-print-fashions-zero-waste\/\">increasing<\/a> to make it more <a href=\"https:\/\/3dprint.com\/235318\/revolutionary-fashion-designers-who-use-3d-printing-in-their-designs\/\">common<\/a> \u2013 even in <a href=\"https:\/\/3dprint.com\/235689\/seoul-national-university-students-explore-challenges-creation-true-fashion-fdm-3d-printers\/\">the classroom<\/a>. Additionally, the technology is helping to usher in a more <a href=\"https:\/\/3dprint.com\/116168\/sustainable-3d-clothing-line\/\">sustainable<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/3dprint.com\/212640\/julia-daviy-3d-printing\/\">eco-friendly<\/a> way of manufacturing garments\u2026and designer <a href=\"http:\/\/juliadaviy.com\/\">Julia Daviy<\/a> is helping to lead the charge.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to designing clothes, Daviy is also an ecologist and clean technology industry manager, and uses 3D printing to make cruelty-free, zero-waste clothing. She believes that the technology will change how the world produces clothing, especially when it comes to some of the more problematic issues of garment manufacturing, such as animal exploitation, chemical pollution, energy consumption, and material waste.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOur goal was never to demonstrate the viability of 3D printed clothing and leave things at that.
