The liquid, which at the time was thought to be some type of wine, has since undergone closer examination that <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/elixir-of-immortality-uncovered-in-2-000-year-old-chi-1833038438\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">reveals its true purpose<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s <em>Xinhua<\/em> news agency <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xinhuanet.com\/english\/2019-03\/01\/c_137861094.htm\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">is now reporting<\/a> that the beverage was actually an \u201celixir of immortality\u201d that matches descriptions from ancient documents.
