Unfortunately though, humans don\u2019t always have an efficient response to odors. However, a group of researchers aim to change that: They\u2019ve created an \u201cartificial nose\u201d device that can quickly detect ammonia, gas, and sewage.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers at the University of British Columbia\u2019s Okanagan campus developed a microfluidic gas detector, which can sense most odors, including noxious substances, said a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.ok.ubc.ca\/2019\/01\/24\/ubc-researchers-develop-high-level-gas-detection-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UBC Okanagan press release<\/a>.
