It\u2019s that time of year again when tech media goes all out to publish their top 10 predictions for the year ahead. To complement this, I thought it might be interesting to try and illustrate how society might transform over the next 10 years, using the future iPhone lineup as an anchor to avoid too much deviation from reality.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re used to seeing better smartphones every year, packed with the latest and greatest hardware and features. So what would they look like in 2029? It\u2019s amazing to recall when<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IPhone\" data-href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IPhone\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> smartphones didn\u2019t exist prior to 2007<\/a> \u2014 I have some minor flashbacks of my plastic <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Nokia_products#Nokia_2xxx_%E2%80%93_Basic_series_%281994%E2%80%932010%29\" data-href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Nokia_products#Nokia_2xxx_%E2%80%93_Basic_series_(1994%E2%80%932010)\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">brick<\/a> with those tiny buttons like the 10 commandments miniaturised and inscribed with the alphabet.
