That\u2019s equivalent to fully circling the globe 16 times.<\/p>\n<p>Halamka is chief information officer at Harvard\u2019s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a professor at Harvard Medical School, and a practicing emergency physician. In a talk at <a href=\"https:\/\/exponential.singularityu.org\/medicine\/?utm_medium=web-page&utm_source=hub&utm_campaign=fy18m11-eip&utm_content=11-11-2018\">Singularity University\u2019s Exponential Medicine<\/a> last week, Halamka shared what he sees as the biggest healthcare problems the world is facing, and the most promising technological solutions from a systems perspective.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn traveling 400,000 miles you get to see lots of different cultures and lots of different people,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd the problems are really the same all over the world.
