Google told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/information-technology\/2018\/11\/major-bgp-mishap-takes-down-google-as-traffic-improperly-travels-to-china\/\">Ars Technica<\/a><\/em> it doubted the leak was malicious, despite the fact that government-owned China Telecom was recently <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/information-technology\/2018\/11\/major-bgp-mishap-takes-down-google-as-traffic-improperly-travels-to-china\/\">caught<\/a> routing Western carrier traffic through mainland China.
