One of Bill Gates\u2019 investment firms is investing millions into this project, hoping that its proximity to local hubs and ability to be completely molded will allow for innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Bill Gates has started laying out his plans for<a href=\"http:\/\/www.12news.com\/news\/local\/valley\/bill-gates-buys-huge-chunk-of-land-in-arizona-to-build-smart-city\/490978125\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> creating a \u201csmart city\u201d in Phoenix, Arizona<\/a>, about 45 minutes west of downtown. Located in the far west valley, the piece of land is comprised of approximately 24,800 acres.
