Sometimes it may be true; other times, and probably most of the time, it\u2019s a logical fallacy known as <a href=\"https:\/\/rationalwiki.org\/wiki\/Not_as_bad_as\">appeal to worse problems<\/a> (or \u201cnot as bad as\u201d, or even \u201cfallacy of relative privation\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>For example, say you\u2019ve got two issues, A and B, that cannot possibly be both dealt with at the same time; if A is life-threatening and B isn\u2019t, well, then I think it\u2019d make sense to reply \u201cthere are more urgent issues\u201d to whoever suggests B should be taken care of first.
