{"id":73443,"date":"2017-10-24T13:02:32","date_gmt":"2017-10-24T20:02:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifeboat.com\/blog\/2017\/10\/i-am-the-lifespan"},"modified":"2017-10-24T13:02:32","modified_gmt":"2017-10-24T20:02:32","slug":"i-am-the-lifespan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifeboat.com\/blog\/2017\/10\/i-am-the-lifespan","title":{"rendered":"I Am The Lifespan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"aligncenter blog-photo\" href=\"https:\/\/lifeboat.com\/blog.images\/i-am-the-lifespan.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Over the past few years, there has been a tradition of longevity researchers and activists around the world to organize events on or around October 1 \u2014 the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/International_Day_of_Older_Persons\">UN International Day of Older Persons<\/a>, or Longevity Day. In recent years this has been extended to include the entire month of November as a Longevity Month where activists organize various activities and events to raise awareness for aging research.<\/p>\n<p>This year we have continued this tradition with the Longevity Month \u201cI am the Lifespan\u201d event, where people tell us their story and how they got interested in aging research and doing something about age-related diseases. and it has been a great success so far. Lots of people have sent in their stories and we have been publishing them on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/305895269893886\/?active_tab=discussion\">Facebook page<\/a> the last few weeks.
