But what if you could give your oral health a boost by receiving a vaccine on top of your regular dental care routine?<\/p>\n<p>Researchers from the <a href=\"http:\/\/english.whiov.cas.cn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIOV)<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/english.cas.cn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chinese Academy of Sciences<\/a> are working on such a vaccine, and their study has just been published in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41598-017-10247-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scientific Reports<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Led by WIOV scientist Yan Huimin, the researchers tested a fusion of proteins to prevent the development of dental caries.
