It\u2019s the first time an animal without a brain or central nervous system has been observed sleeping.<\/p>\n<p>The findings \u2014 detailed this week <a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cell.com\/current-biology\/fulltext\/S0960-9822(17)31023-0\" target=\"_blank\">in the journal Current Biology<\/a> \u2014 could help scientists finally answer the questions: Do all animals sleep?<\/p>\n<p>All vertebrates studied by scientists sleep, but researchers haven\u2019t been able to agree whether or not sleep is ubiquitous, or even common, among invertebrates.
