Disease, ageing and even death are all human realities that these technologies seek to end.<\/p>\n<p>They may enable us to enjoy greater \u201cmorphological freedom\u201d \u2013 we could take on new forms through prosthetics or <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/genetic+engineering\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">genetic engineering<\/a>. Or advance our cognitive capacities. We could use brain-computer interfaces to link us to advanced artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/singularityhub.com\/2016\/05\/16\/nanorobots-where-we-are-today-and-why-their-future-has-amazing-potential\/\">Nanobots<\/a> could roam our bloodstream to monitor our health and enhance our emotional propensities for joy, love or other emotions.
