Khamehchi et al.\/Physical Review Letters)<\/center><\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wsu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Washington State University<\/a> (WSU) physicists have created a fluid with \u201cnegative mass,\u201d which means that if you push it, it accelerates <em>toward<\/em> you instead of away, in apparent violation of Newton\u2019s laws.<\/p>\n<p>The phenomenon can be used to explore some of the more challenging concepts of the cosmos, said <a href=\"https:\/\/physics.wsu.edu\/people\/faculty\/michael-forbes\/\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Forbes<\/a>, PhD, a WSU assistant professor of physics and astronomy and an affiliate assistant professor at the University of Washington.
