Abraham et al.\/ Nature Nanotechnology)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>British Scientists have designed a way to use graphene-oxide (GO) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.graphene.manchester.ac.uk\/explore\/the-applications\/membranes\/\" target=\"_blank\">membranes<\/a> to filter common salts out of salty water and make the water safe to drink.<\/p>\n<p>Graphene-oxide membranes developed at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.graphene.manchester.ac.uk\/collaborate\/national-graphene-institute\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Graphene Institute<\/a> had already demonstrated the potential of filtering out small nanoparticles, organic molecules, and even large salts.
