Here\u2019s the idea.<\/p>\n<p><em>Superposition is a real thing (on small scales at least)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>One of the most fundamental aspects of quantum mechanics is \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Quantum_superposition\">superposition <\/a>\u201c. Something is in a superposition when it\u2019s in multiple states\/places simultaneously. You can show, without too much effort, that a wide variety of things can be in a superposition.
