While there is <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/?s=invisibility+cloak\" target=\"_blank\">ongoing research<\/a> into invisibility cloaks of some form or other, researchers at the Public University of Navarre (NUP\/UPNA) and the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV) are taking a not-so-straightforward approach. In particular, they are interested in developing a cloaking mechanism that works by bending light.<\/p>\n<p>The team, whose work is published in the journal <a href=\"http:\/\/journals.aps.org\/pra\/abstract\/10.1103\/PhysRevA.94.063850\" target=\"_blank\">Physical Review A<\/a>, has worked on simulations of an invisibility technology that conceals objects in diffusive atmospheres.
