Pretty.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Today\u2019s Image of the Week comes from a study of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/article\/10.1088\/1751-8121\/50\/2\/025301\" target=\"_blank\">The difference between two random mixed quantum states: exact and asymptotic spectral analysis<\/a><\/em> from the <a href=\"http:\/\/fisica.uniandes.edu.co\/index.php\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Universidad de los Andes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phys.ethz.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\">ETH Z\u00fcrich<\/a>. In this recent <a href=\"http:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/journal\/1751-8121\" target=\"_blank\">JPhysA<\/a> paper, Jos\u00e9 Mej\u00eda, Camilo Zapata and <a href=\"http:\/\/fisica.uniandes.edu.co\/index.php\/en\/people\/faculty\/alonso-botero-mejia\" target=\"_blank\">Alonso Botero<\/a> investigate the spectral statistics of the difference of two density matrices, each of which is independently obtained by partially tracing a random bipartite pure quantum state.
