From gravitational waves to cooing dinosaurs, we\u2019ve uncovered a lot about the world around us, but as a remarkable new study has revealed, there\u2019s a lot within us we\u2019ve yet to discover too.<\/p>\n<p>Writing in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/journals\/langas\/article\/PIIS2468-1253(16)30026-7\/fulltext\">The Lancet Gastroenterology &amp; Hepatology<\/a>, scientists have officially announced the discovery of a new organ inside the human body. That\u2019s right, there\u2019s a brand new organ hiding in our abdomen and it\u2019s only just been classified.<\/p>\n<p>Known as the mesentery (meaning \u201cin the middle of the intestines\u201d), it can be found in our digestive systems.
