This is a problem for scientists working toward the creation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems capable of performing complex tasks with minimal human supervision.<\/p>\n<p>In a step toward overcoming this hurdle, researchers at Google\u2019s DeepMind \u2014 the company that developed the Go-playing computer program AlphaGo \u2014 announced earlier this week the creation of a neural network that can not only learn, but can also use data stored in its memory to \u201clogically reason\u201d and make inferences to answer questions.<\/p>\n<p>DeepMind\u2019s new system \u2014 called a Differentiable Neural Computer (DNC) \u2014 combines deep learning, wherein it can learn from examples and make sense of complex input it has never received before, with an external memory, which, as the DeepMind researchers Alexander Graves and Greg Wayne explain in a <a href=\"https:\/\/deepmind.com\/blog\/differentiable-neural-computers\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">blog post<\/a>, allows it to \u201cstore knowledge quickly and reason about it flexibly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- Link: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibtimes.com\/artificial-intelligence-googles-deepmind-creates-neural-network-can-logically-reason-2432088\">http:\/\/www.ibtimes.com\/artificial-intelligence-googles-deepm...on-2432088<\/a> --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My guess is there is some QC help in this picture.
