It\u2019s a scientific property <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technologyreview.com\/s\/427174\/einsteins-spooky-action-at-a-distance-paradox-older-than-thought\/\" target=\"_blank\">not even the renowned Albert Einstein<\/a> could come to terms with it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing entangled means that the two photons that form an entangled pair have properties that are linked regardless of how far the two are separated,\u201d Dr. Wolfgang Tittel, a physics professor at the University of Calgary who was involved in the research, <a href=\"http:\/\/phys.org\/news\/2016-09-quantum-internet-teleport-particle-kilometres.html?utm_source=menu&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=item-menu\" target=\"_blank\">said in a press statement<\/a>. \u201cWhen one of the photons was sent over to City Hall, it remained entangled with the photon that stayed at the University of Calgary.
