Studying them led researchers one step closer to understanding how the brain processes stimuli.<\/p>\n<p>There is a genetically transmitted disease that causes the eyeballs to twitch back and forth, and it\u2019s called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nlm.nih.gov\/medlineplus\/ency\/article\/003037.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Nystagmus<\/a>. It impacts 1 in 1,500 men.
