This project is the first stage of a concept first unveiled back in 2012 by designer and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.studioroosegaarde.net\/\">innovator Daan Roosegaarde,<\/a> who presented his<a href=\"http:\/\/www.studioroosegaarde.net\/project\/smart-highway\/photo\/#smart-highway\"> \u2018Smart Highway\u2019<\/a> plans during <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ddw.nl\">Dutch Design Week<\/a>.
