DARPA\u2019s latest incarnation of its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/2016\/02\/atlas-next-generation-of-darpa-humanoid-robot-released.html\">Atlas robot<\/a> is seen in the following video beginning to walk at a pace with a sense of balance equal to most humans. Strangely, toward the end of the video, it is being \u201cabused\u201d by its human handler, which begs the question if a true artificial intelligence is permitted to flourish in this robot, if it might strike back at some point. At the very least, this robot\u2019s demonstration of dexterity in the warehouse is likely to threaten humans economically as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/science\/science-news\/12155808\/Robots-will-take-over-most-jobs-within-30-years-experts-warn.html\">humans continue to be outsourced to machine labor at record levels<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s the latest humanoid robot from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hansonrobotics.com\/\">Hanson Robotics<\/a> that might further heighten the level of concern.
