The terms \u201csubsonic\u201d and \u201csupersonic\u201d basically refer to speeds below and above the local speed of sound, so you should have some idea how fast these tiny rockets are traveling.<\/p>\n<p>Jurvetson is <a href=\"http:\/\/dfj.com\/about\">a partner and managing director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson<\/a>, a venture capital firm, and his board responsibilities include projects like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spacex.com\/\">SpaceX<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.syntheticgenomics.com\/\">Synthetic Genomics<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teslamotors.com\/\">Tesla Motors<\/a>. He was also a founding venture capital investor in Hotmail, led DFJ\u2019s investments in companies acquired for $12 billion in aggregate, and he was an R&amp;D Engineer at Hewlett-Packard.
