The research\u2014published in <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.mimet.2026.107681\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Journal of Microbiological Methods<\/i><\/a>\u2014details a new method for detecting Pseudomonas syringae, a common bacterium that infects a wide variety of crops, vegetables and woody ornamentals.<\/p>\n<p>The cost is similar to that of the traditional method, called enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, or ELISA.
