The paper, titled \u201cRegression to the mean can explain saturation of geomagnetic storms,\u201d is led by Dr. Nithin Sivadas of NASA\u2019s Goddard Space Flight Center and co-authored by Dr. Maria Walach from Lancaster University.<\/p>\n<p>Space weather\u2014caused by fluctuating electric fields in Earth\u2019s magnetic field and upper atmosphere\u2014can affect technologies on and around Earth in several ways.
