Immune cells called regulatory T cells (Tregs)\u2014originally defined as \u201csuppressor\u201d cells that stop other immune cells from attacking the body\u2014are being explored as \u201cliving drugs\u201d that could eventually be adapted to target many diseases with an inflammatory component.<\/p>\n<p>Such an approach, which aims to tailor Treg therapies to specific diseases and tissues, could support more precise control of immune responses.
