He watched as his friends began swapping out kid\u2019s clothes for the men\u2019s section and shaving in high school, but while they went through puberty, he just \u201cstayed the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy family doctor was like \u2018Jacob, something\u2019s wrong, you look like you are 12, and you\u2019re 16,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, Barnes, who grew up an hour outside of Cleveland, was 17 and only 5-foot-2.
