The drugs proved more effective in combination than when administered alone and can provide both immediate and long-lasting doses to kill cancer cells.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn our study, a three-drug combination showed strong synergistic effects across multiple glioblastoma models and significantly improved survival in animal studies,\u201d said Daewoo Han, an assistant professor in UC\u2019s College of Engineering and Applied Science and lead author of the paper <a href=\"https:\/\/pubs.acs.org\/doi\/10.1021\/acsbiomaterials.5c01482\" target=\"_blank\">published<\/a> in ACS Biomaterials Science &amp; Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Han and Distinguished Research Professor Andrew Steckl incorporated the drugs into <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/news\/2025-06-magnetically-driven-solution-personalized-intracranial.html?utm_source=embeddings&utm_medium=related&utm_campaign=internal\" rel=\"related\" target=\"_blank\">electrospun fiber membranes<\/a>, creating a nanofiber drug delivery system.
