This surprising outcome is perhaps due to results from the <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/news\/2026-01-universe-experts-mysterious-cosmic-history.html?utm_source=embeddings&utm_medium=related&utm_campaign=internal\" rel=\"related\">Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument<\/a> (DESI) last year, which hinted that dark energy may change over time, in opposition to the standard model\u2019s conviction that dark energy remains constant.<\/p>\n<p>But that wasn\u2019t the only surprising outcome.
