These were the days when webpages were numbered and email was such a luxury that people would excitedly sign off on messages with phrases like \u201celectronically yours.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The network shown here is <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Micronet_800\">Micronet<\/a>, an internet portal that <a href=\"http:\/\/sploid.gizmodo.com\/how-to-send-an-email-in-1984-1764379236\">Gizmodo points out<\/a> was a lot like an early version of AOL.
