The tests showed that these components helped make the cells \u201cready to attack,\u201d thereby increasing their ability to destroy tumors. The results were <a href=\"https:\/\/frontiersin.org\/journals\/immunology\/articles\/10.3389\/fimmu.2025.1675877\" target=\"_blank\">published<\/a> in the journal Frontiers in Immunology.<\/p>\n<p>The CTC is one of the Research, Innovation, and Dissemination Centers (RIDCs) supported by FAPESP. It is based at the Ribeirao Preto Blood Center and is linked to the general and teaching hospital (\u201cHospital das Cl\u00ednicas\u201d) of the Ribeirao Preto Medical School of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (FMRP-USP).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/news\/2023-09-immunologist-breakthrough-prize-cancer-treatment.html?utm_source=embeddings&utm_medium=related&utm_campaign=internal\" rel=\"related\">CAR-based cell therapies<\/a> are revolutionizing cancer treatment, especially for hematological tumors.
