That makes them more likely to die by violence wherever they are, says the study led by UC Berkeley political scientist Gabriel Lenz, a specialist in crime and criminal justice.<\/p>\n<p>The study, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnas.org\/doi\/10.1073\/pnas.2500535122\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cMigration and the Persistence of Violence,\u201d<\/a> was published today in <i>Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences<\/i>.
