Would <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/social+distancing\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">social distancing<\/a> cause us to have less immunity to common diseases? Would those diseases rebound with deadly consequences?<\/p>\n<p>In a paper <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1126\/science.adw4964\" target=\"_blank\">published<\/a> in <i>Science<\/i>, the University of Georgia\u2019s Tobias Brett and Pejman Rohani explored which infectious diseases were impacted by COVID-19 control measures and, of those, which rebounded. They found airborne diseases were most likely to rebound\u2014but not as much as some feared.
