The new type of receiver is not only extremely sensitive, but also provides internal calibration, and the antenna itself is powered only by laser light.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the work, in which Sebastian Bor\u00f3wka, Mateusz Mazelanik, Wojciech Wasilewski and Micha\u0142 Parniak participated, were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-025-63951-9\" target=\"_blank\">published<\/a> in <i>Nature Communications.<\/i> They open a new chapter in the technological implementation of quantum sensors.<\/p>\n<p>In today\u2019s society, huge amounts of digital information are transmitted around us every second. Much of it is transmitted by radio, i.e. using <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/electromagnetic+waves\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">electromagnetic waves<\/a>.
