Researchers studied the tumors of 234 patients with <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/non-small+cell+lung+cancer\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">non-small cell lung cancer<\/a> (NSCLC) across three cohorts in Australia, the United States, and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUsing AI and spatial biology, we mapped NSCLC, cell-by-cell, to understand and predict its response to <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/drug+treatment\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">drug treatment<\/a>,\u201d Aung says. \u201cThis \u2018Google Maps\u2019 approach can pinpoint areas within tumors that are both responsive and resistant to therapies, which will be a gamechanger for lung cancer treatment.
