Or precisely measured it on a microscopic scale.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the Mark Johnson lab at Yale has\u2014for the first time\u2014set benchmarks for how long it takes protons to move through six charged <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/water+molecules\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">water molecules<\/a>.
