Their effectiveness in cybersecurity has remained limited, however.<\/p>\n<p>That may soon change, thanks to a research team from NYU Tandon School of Engineering, NYU Abu Dhabi and other universities that developed an AI agent capable of autonomously solving complex cybersecurity challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The system, called <a href=\"https:\/\/icml.cc\/virtual\/2025\/poster\/45428\" target=\"_blank\">EnIGMA<\/a>, was <a href=\"https:\/\/icml.cc\/virtual\/2025\/poster\/45428\" target=\"_blank\">presented<\/a> this month at the <a href=\"https:\/\/icml.cc\/\" target=\"_blank\">International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML) 2025<\/a> in Vancouver, Canada.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Artificial intelligence agents\u2014AI systems that can work independently toward specific goals without constant human guidance\u2014have demonstrated strong capabilities in software development and web navigation.
