Word of that event spread in aviation circles, and the businesses reached out to the Loring Commerce Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The Loring Development Authority works to attract business, housing and jobs to Loring\u2019s 3,800 acres. Occupants have included Brunswick-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bangordailynews.com\/2023\/02\/08\/aroostook\/developer-create-housing-jobs-loring-base-xoasq1i29i\/?_ga=2.191490026.1347464447.1753109379-1334640427.1738011873\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Green 4 Maine<\/a> and, most recently, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bangordailynews.com\/2025\/06\/26\/aroostook\/aroostook-business\/first-look-taste-of-maine-potato-chip-company-plant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Taste of Maine Potato Chip Co.<\/a> The two aviation companies, whose names the authority is not yet releasing, would boost the authority\u2019s plan to bring more aerospace jobs onto the former base.
