That\u2019s thanks to an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uni-mainz.de\/presse\/17241_ENG_HTML.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"international team of scientists\">international team of scientists<\/a> that was able to successfully create several atoms of element 117, which is currently known as Ununseptium until it\u2019s given an official name.<\/p>\n<p>The paper for this experiment <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.aps.org\/prl\/abstract\/10.1103\/PhysRevLett.112.172501\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"has been published\">has been published<\/a> in <em>Physical Review Letters<\/em><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Element 117 was first created in a joint collaboration between American and Russian scientists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.llnl.gov\/news\/newsreleases\/2014\/May\/NR-14-05-01.html#.U2WAvfldWAo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"back in 2010\">back in 2010<\/a>.
