The attack originated from a Mirai-variant botnet in October 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Then in April 2025, Cloudflare <a href=\"https:\/\/thehackernews.com\/2025\/05\/weekly-recap-nation-state-hacks-spyware.html#:~:text=Cloudflare%20Blocks%2020.5M%20DDoS%20attacks%20in%20Q1%202025\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">revealed<\/a> it defended against a massive 6.5 Tbps flood that likely emanated from Eleven11bot, a botnet comprising roughly 30,000 webcams and video recorders.
